The masque is bluish purple in the tube. That is not your shade. Your shade is what is underneath when you peel it off.
No. There is no alcohol in it, which is what dries lips in most long-wear formulas. Camellia oil and plant derived squalane are in the formula, so your lips are conditioned for the whole time the colour is on. Balm or gloss can go over the top without shortening the wear.
